Seit gut einem Jahr hat das Kollektiv den Keller des Hauses Zehlendorfer Damm 45-47 in Kleinmachnow, besser bekannt als Erbschenken, als Club betrieben. Das Gebäude beherbergte im Schattenreich DDR den Curie Club, woraus sich für uns ergab, den Namen beizubehalten, jedoch konzeptionell die Sache anders zu betreiben. Der Grundgedanke ist kollektiv und vor allem unkommerziell einen Club zu schaffen, der sich keiner spezifischen Musikrichtung bedient, eher noch differente Stile zueinander bringt, um Musik zu dem zu machen, was es ist, ein Mittel der Kommunikation und nicht Werkzeug einer gigantischen Produktionsmaschienerie. Wichtig war uns ist uns auch, nicht nur Musik zu präsentieren, sondern zugleich mit visuellen Reizen, wie bewegten Bildern oder Malerei, die Musik thematisch zu unterstützen. Dem Anspruch, den Rezipienten nicht nur zum Konsum zu bewegen, sondern ihn zeitgleich geistig heraus zu fordern, konnten wir oftmals gerecht werden, erinnert man sich noch an den Basement Basar am 04. Dezember des vergangenen Jahres.
Nun wurde uns seitens des Ordnungsamts Kleinmachnow, die Möglichkeit entzogen, an jener Stelle, unserer Lebenswirklichkeit, ein Gesicht zu geben, da die Bauaufsicht brandschutztechnisch Mängel feststellen mußte. Leider haben wir bis jetzt weder das Protokoll dieser Begehung erhalten, noch die Chance gehabt, etwas gegen die festgestellten Mängel zu unternehmen, was wir als unzureichend koorperativ, seitens der zuständigen Behörden, finden.
Was gilt es nun zu tun? In erster Linie werden wir nicht aufgeben, die Region, insbesondere Kleinmachnow, mit Alternativkultur (als Gegenstück zur offiziellen Kulturlandschaft) zu bereichern. Wir werden uns nach einer Ausweichmöglichkeit umsehen, die den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen entsprechen und unsere Arbeit fortsetzen. Wir werden uns den nötigen Respekt erkämpfen, der für uns der wichtigste Lohn unserer Arbeit ist, der uns bis heute nicht zuteil geworden ist.
